"No one man has more unselfishly served the Professional Putters Association, the Amateur Putters Association and Junior Putters of America than Gary Hinshaw," said Bill Kirby Jr., of the Professional Putters Association. "He founded the PPA North Carolina State Tour in 1974 and the PPA Virginia State Tour in 1977. He was an architect for the PPA Hall of Fame and, as manager of the Putt-Putt Golf & Games in Richmond, has served as host of every tournament from PPA National Championships to Junior Putters of America Team Championships. He is a three-time Putt-Putt Golf & Games Manager of the Year. And, it has all been done in the name of Putt-Putt Golf Courses of America."

Hinshaw is the 1992 PPA Virginia State Champion. His PPA state tour lifetime prize money earnings are $15,000. His PPA lifetime stroke average is 29.00. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a degree in business. Hinshaw is manager of the Putt-Putt Golf & Games in Richmond, Va.
