-1985 and 1987 The Putt-Putt television shows filmed in 1981 through 1985 and 1987 are now available on DVD. The shows were all converted from the master tapes (except shows marked with an asterisk *) so the video quality is considerably better than a recording from an over-the-air broadcast. The cost for each individual year is $20. For this price you'll receive the shows on DVD-R disk in quad-sided DVD cases with a color insert. The price also includes shipping by USPS media mail within the United States. Faster shipping within the US or shipping outside the US is available upon request for an additional fee. The television shows from 1988 through 1994 will be available in the next few weeks. The cost for these years which featured three shows each year will be $10. Three of the 1986 television shows are not currently available so the 1986 television series will be not be available on DVD until later in 2007 when the 2" video tapes can be played.
2001, 2003 and 2004 The Putt-Putt television shows filmed in 2001 (Lynchburg, VA), 2003 (Lubbock, TX) and 2004 (Richmond, VA) are also available on DVD. The shows were all converted from the master tapes so the video quality is considerably better than a recording from an over-the-air broadcast. Frame captures from each of these sets of shows are shown below along with a summary of the matches that were filmed. The shows can be purchased by individual year or as a set including all three years (2001, 2003 and 2004). The cost for an individual year is $10 with the cost for all three years being $25. For this price you'll receive the shows on DVD-R disk in a double-sided DVD case with a color insert. The price also includes shipping by USPS media mail within the United States. the Film of the
29 December 2006 - A 27 minute video of the 1960's PPA Player of the Decade, Vance Randall, award presentation and the 1970 PPA National Invitational is now available for download. This video is provided at a 320 by 240 resolution for download on the web. The show will also be available on DVD in 2007 in its full resolution of 640 by 480. The video file is 104 MB so it is suitable for download on a broadband internet connection (DSL, Cable Modem, etc.). This video is just one of more than 100 of the PPA television shows that are being converted from their broadcast tapes onto DVD. The television shows from 1981-94 will be completed in the first few months of 2007 with the shows from 1980 and earlier planned for conversion to DVD by the middle of 2007.
