Second Annual Williams Lewis Open (Wilson, N.C.) - July 30th, 2005
The second annual Williams Lewis Open will be held at the Wilson, N.C. Putt-Putt Golf Course on Saturday, July 30th. The tournament is a 108-hole medal play event beginning at 12 noon using the Wilson, N.C. course rules. Greens fee for practice from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, July 29th, will be $9.
Entry fees are as follows:
Entry Fees
Level 1 - $50.00 (mandatory for all players)
Level 2 - $25.00 (Low Round)
Level 3 - $25.00 (Most Holes in One)
Entry fees for level 2 and 3 are optional.
Sample payout based on 50 level 1 entries
First place - $1,050
Second place - $450
Third place - $280
Fourth place - $100
Fifth place - $75
Sample payout based on 25 level 2 and 3 entries
$500 each level based on 25 entries

30 July 2005 - Wilson, N.C. - Putt-Putt of Wilson hosted it's
second annual William Lewis Open on Saturday July 30th, 2005.

Twelve players putted in the six round singles tournament
playing for a total purse of $1521.00. Johnny Brown won the tournament taking
$585.00 for his first place finish. Bob Haizlip was second claiming $275.00.
Vince Edwards was third with $184.00, Ray Pelletier fourth with $100.00 and
Lance Perdue was fifth with $57.00.
Brown won an optional category of the most
holes in one taking $150.00 for that victory. Haizlip and Brown tied for the
optional category of lowest round splitting the $170.00 for that top spot.
