of Dallas Texas opens with 26 and does not look back as he wins the
Tyler Texas Putting Tour event by 4 shots.
Byron Kirby
from Sulphur Louisiana who was 4 shots back after round one gave
chase matching Jeffrey's last two rounds total of 57 but finished 4
back. Jeffrey and Byron both won TPT spots for Webster Texas in
October. Brice
Bergesen of Houston, Greg Simpson of Lake Charles, Louisiana and
Tom Robertson of Lake Charles finished tied for 3rd 6 shots off the
lead. Lee
Messinger and Greg Simpson won TPT Championship spots in match
play.
Ken Stanfill
of Waco, Texas and
Adam Sahmel
of Huffman Texas were leaders after two rounds at 13 under par.. The
last round was won by Stanfill with his low round of the day of 27.
Tyler local John
Berger vaulted into 2nd with the low round of the day at 25 ending
up only 2 back of Stanfill while
Gary Plain of
Tyler slid into third, four shots back of the leaders. Winning TPT
Championship spots for the Amateurs was John Berger, Gary Plain in medal
play and Alan
Sahmel and
Dave Blalock in match play.
