Gary Reed of
Lubbock, Texas, easily won the second Texas Open of his career by
posting a 205 for 8 rounds this weekend at the Lubbock, Texas Putt
Putt Fun and Games facility. Gary beat 2nd place finisher
James Taylor,
who finished with a score of 220, by 15 strokes in a field of 6
professionals this weekend . Gary demolished the score of 220 that
he posted for his first Texas Open victory in 2003 by 15 strokes,
and his 6th round score of 22 was the lowest 18 hole total by all
participants, professionals and amateurs, for the weekend.
Carey Bailey
of Lubbock, Texas, easily won the first Texas Open of his career by
posting a score of 227 for 8 rounds this weekend at the Lubbock, Texas
Putt Putt Fun and Games facility. Carey beat
Trevor Lewin
and Mike
Huckaby, who finished tied for second with a score of 242, by 15
strokes. Carey's 4th round score of 23 was the lowest 18 hole total on
Saturday by anyone, including the professionals, and was second only to
Gary Reed's 6th round score of 22.
