Ricky Schults9 September 2006 - Martinsville, VA - Ricky Schults fired a final round 22 to make up a seven-shot deficit and picked up his fourth Southern Tour victory of the season at Martinsville. Schults beat out Greg Newport and Frank Warren on the final hole to secure the win.
Schults posted a final score of 76 for his third medal play win of the year. Newport and Warren both finished at 77 for a tie for second. Ray Guthrie and Russell Sigmon, Jr. were tied for fourth at 78.

Jeff Carr Earns Twelfth APA Victory of 2006 Season on Southern Putting Tour
9 September 2006 - Martinsville, VA - Jeff Carr collected his 12th win of the season by posting a three-shot win over Caleb Kennedy and Dennis Biesma. Carr took the lead after the second round by one stroke and held on to win. Carr posted a score of 77 for the tour's leading 12th victory. Kennedy and Biesma both finished at 80.
