Greg Sandlin Sweeps Salina, KS Weekend on 2005 Oklahoma State Tour 7 August 2005 - Salina, KS - It rained the night before and course #1 was wet, but it didn't stop Greg Sandlin from sweeping the weekend. Sandlin started out with a 31, two strokes behind the leaders, Kendall Payne and Bob Nelson, who were both at 29. Then in the second round, Sandlin shot seven under to lead going into the final round. One stroke back was Terry Smith and Kendall Payne. Greg Sandlin came out strong in the third round with a 27 to finish the day at 87 and complete his weekend sweep. Terry Smith finished second with a final round score of 30 and three round total of 91. In the Amateur division, Mike Foster won by three strokes over Jimmy VanBuskirk. Foster started out strong in the first round with a 28. Jason VanBuskirk and John Lozier were in the second spot at 31. Foster was consistent in the second round with another 28, to stand at 56, and add another three strokes to his lead over Jimmy VanBuskirk who was back at 62. Foster used his big lead in the third round because he only shot three under to finish at 89. Jimmy VanBuskirk shot six under to finish in second at 92. Danny Hoel finished third at 98.
