Greg Sandlin Posts a Four Stroke Victory in Ponca City, OK

15 May 2005 - Ponca City, OK - Sunday started off a little cool slight breeze out of the northwest, but then warmed up and ended up being a great day for Putt Putt. Greg Sandlin started with back to back 27s to give himself a 6 stroke lead over the next pro, Steve Yates. Steve Yates fired a good final round of 28, but that was only good enough to cut into half of Gregs lead. Greg finished with an 84 to lead all putters. Greg, Steve and Bob Nelson all received state spots for medal play.

In the APA Division, Mike Foster had a 2 stroke lead going into the 3rd round. Jason Van Buskirk shot his best single round score of 28 and total score of 90 to win the tourney by 2. This was Jasons first tournament win. Jason also played 3 clean rounds which was a feat of its own. This win makes Jason the first 5 spotter in the APA Oklahoma tour. Mike Foster shot a 92 to receive the runner-up position. Mike Foster and Jimmy Van Buskirk received state spots in match play.
