Greg Sandlin Sweeps Enid, OK Tournaments with Final Round 24 21 August 2005 - Enid, OK - It rained the night before the tournament leaving the course was wet and pushing the scores slightly higher. In the Pro division, Greg Sandlin completed his weekend sweep by shooting 87 for three rounds beating Mike Chisum by three strokes. Both Sandlin and Terry Smith were tied for the lead after the first round at 32. In the second round Mike Chisum turned in a 29 to tie Smith, who was also at 62, going into the last round. Sandlin and Chris Enders were close behind at 63. Out of nowhere, Sandlin fired a final round 24 to earn himself the victory and sweep of the weekend's tournaments. Kendall Payne earned the Oklahoma State Tour medal spot. In the Amateur division, Jimmy VanBuskirk would also sweep the weekend by shooting an 89, beating Greg Cole (who also shot 89) in an eighteen hole playoff for the victory. Jimmy VanBuskirk started out strong by shooting an opening round 28. The closest challenger was Scott Schuler at 31. In the second round, Greg Cole fired a 26 to take the lead by one stroke over VanBuskirk. In the last round, Jimmy VanBuskirk managed to shoot 29 to tie Greg Cole and force the playoff. VanBuskirk won the playoff and received his seventh spot of the 2005 season. Jason VanBuskirk received the match play spot, beating David Chisum and John Lozier.
