Posts Second Straight Victory on South Carolina Tour

On the eve of the 2004 South Carolina State Championship, 24 pros warmed
up on Saturday with the final regular season event on the schedule in
Spartanburg. Randy Reeves
was going for his second consecutive win in South Carolina and did so
with a second round 23 that would edge out
Gary English by
one shot on Course 2.

English was amongst a quartet of players with the first
round lead of 25. Another five players were a shot out of
the lead, including Reeves. Reeves put himself in control in
the second round as he posted a 23, the lowest round of the
tournament, to go in at 49. English was a stroke back at 50
and was tied with rookie
Russell Sigmon, Jr.
Reeves would come out on top. A final round 26 was just enough to put
him in at 75 and would record his second consecutive South Carolina win.
English would finish in second at 76. Sigmon dropped to third at 79.
Five players were tied for fourth at 80.
There were 12 cash spots available for the Pro Division. The last
cash line was sitting at 83, a two-way split for the last spot.
The South Carolina tour will have their State Championship on Sunday,
September 26 at 9:00 a.m.
on Course 2. Tony
