Lee Messinger Wins PPA Oklahoma State Tour Event in Lawton, OK

31 July 2004 - Lawton, OK - After an uncharacteristic turn out for Lee Messinger at Nationals, he was ready to put down a win at his first tournament after the Richmond event. Apparently it rained later in the week in Lawton, but the carpets were dry because of the 100 degree temperatures of the last two days. The carpets were playing fast and with no wind to contend with allowed Lee Messinger to go low and win day one at the Lawton course. Messinger, M. Chisum and Lynch received state spots.

In the APA Danny Hoel slowed down Mike Fosters blistering pace to totally dominate the APA division in Oklahoma (and other tournaments in the nation). This was only the third time that Mike Foster has not been the winner out of 11 tournament appearances. Dannys win gives him his third tournament win and his third state spot. David Chisum and Jason Van Buskirk received spots in match play.
