Wins PPA Oklahoma State Tour Event in Lawton, OK
1 August 2004 - Lawton, OK - It was hot and
humid with no wind in Lawton today. Lee Messinger and Mike Chisum were
tied at 29 after the first round with David Lynch and Jeff Smith in at
30 and Jody Kimble in at 33. Lynch and Chisum were both in at 59 at the
end of the second round and Lynch shot a 28 for an 87 the final round
and Chisum shot a 32 for a 91 and Jeff Smith had a final round of 29 to
tie for second at 91. Medal spots went to David Lynch and Jeff Smith
while the match spot went to Lee Messinger. In the APA, Danny Hoel
started with a 31 with everyone else in at 34 (Trevor Lewin, Mike
Foster, and David Chisum) or 35 (Scott
Schuler, Jimmy and Jason Van Buskirk). After
the second round, Danny was in at 61 and David was in at 63 with a 29 in
the second round.
Jason was in at 66 with everyone else at 68 or 69. In the final
round, Danny, Mike and David all shot 33 to give Danny the win at 94.
Metal spots went to David Chisum and Scott Schuler and Jimmy Van
Buskirk won the match play spot.
