Kevin Lacey of Cincinnati, Ohio won the Richmond
Open by 2 shots over
Todd Viau. Lacey put together rounds of
25, 28 and 25 for a total of 78, 30 under par. Viau shot consistent
rounds of 26-26-28 for a 28 under par 80 good enough for second
place.
Shawn Gilliland finished alone in 3rd place with a 26 under par
82 while John Ventura of Cincinnati finished 4th at 25 under par 83.
Tim Greenert rounded out the top 5 with a 22 under par 86.
Nate
Nichols,
Roger Beckerman and
Dave Nutini claimed the final "cash"
spot finishing tied for 6th at 87.
Jay Hadsell won the Match Play Tournament winning 4 matches
on his way to his first win on the IPPT
this year.
Scott Copeland Wins APA
Richmond Open
5 June 2004 - Richmond, IN -
Scott Copeland fired a three round total 80 to win the Richmond Open
in the Amateur division. Copeland shot rounds of 25-30-25 to take a
7 shot victory over
Bill Hammons of Indianapolis and Anthony
Russell. Both players finished at 21 under par 87.
John Watkins was
fourth 2 shots back at 89 while Kyle Poole rounded out the top 5
with a 90. John Watkins picked up
the Match Play victory winning three straight matches.
