Kevin
Lacey of Cincinnati, Ohio won the Carl Miller Open by 4 shots
over Jim Payne of Louisville en route to his second IPPT Tour
victory of the season. Lacey put together rounds of 28, 24 and 27
for a total of 79, 29 under par. Jim Payne shot consistent rounds of
27-28-28 for a 25 under par 83 good enough for second place.
Nate
Nichols,
John Ventura and
Todd Viau all tied for 3rd place with a
three round total 84.
Tim Greenert and
Charlie Greenwalt claimed the
final "Green" spot finishing tied for 7th at 86.
Todd Viau won the Match Play Tournament winning 4 matches
on his way to his first win on the IPPT
this year.
Bill Hammons Wins APA
Louisville Open
17 May 2003 - Louisville, KY -
Bill Hammons of Indianapolis fired a three round total 90 to
win the Carl Miller Open in the Amateur division. Hammons shot
rounds of 31-32-27 to take a one shot victory over
Sam Raizor of New
Albany and Robbie Brekelmans of Louisville who finished tied for
second at 91.
John Watkins was fourth one shot back at 92 while
Josh
Garrison rounded out the top 5 with a 93. Sam Raizor of New Albany,
Indiana picked up his first IPPT Tour victory taking the Match Play
Tournament winning three straight matches.
