8 August 2004 - Warren, OH - On what was a
spectacular Sunday for putting we saw
Brandon Yee came
from behind to win the Ohio Valley Open with a score of 81 and a two
shot victory over veteran
James White.
The first two rounds were led by former National
Champion
John
Napoli who shot an impressive score of 52 and had a
two shot lead over former GLT Champion
Todd
Viau and
Harry
Sykes; both were in at 54. In the third and final
round Yee took the course by storm and shot an
impressive score of 25 and came from six shots back to
win. John Napoli faltering gave way for Yee to assume
control of the tournament during the final round. In
second place was veteran James White at 83 and five
players tied at 84:
Scott Buddie, Todd Viau,
Dave
Nutini,
Roger Beckerman and David Jones. In the PPA match
play,
Jay Hadsell defeated current GLT Champion
Paul
Johns and received a Great Lakes Tour finals spot.
Bonnie White Wins Ohio Valley Open
APA Title
08 August 2004 - Warren, OH - In the APA Division,
Bonnie White came from two shots down to defeat
Don Cherry by two shots. White shot scores of
29-32-27 for a 54-hole score of 88. In the APA match
play
Bill Combs defeated former National Champion
Jeff Brown.
