Tom Morrison, winner of the IPPT West Major (Columbus, IN) on the PPA Indiana State Tour.

18 May 2003 - Louisville, KY - "This is ground control to "Major Tom." You are 2 for 2 in Majors in 2003." "Major" Tom Morrison claimed his second Major in as many tries at Louisville shooting a 54 under par 162 on course 3.

The rains finally went away in Louisville late in the morning and provided an ever changing surface for the 6 round IPPT South Major. That didn't bother Morrison as he shot rounds of 26, 24, 29, 26, 30 and 27 to claim a one shot victory over 1968 PPA Champion Bob Marcellino and Tim Greenert. Jim Payne and Danny Holcomb tied for 4th with identical 49 under par 167's. Jerry Pinotti got last cash with a 47 under par 169.

Zach Smith Wins IPPT South Major APA Title

18 May 2003 - Louisville, KY - 2002 APA World Match Play Champion Zach Smith won the APA South Major with a 6 round total 175. That was good enough for a 4 shot victory over APA Points Leader Bill Hammons. John Watkins finished 3rd at 187 while Scott McCutchen was 4th with a 189.
