The duo fired a 54 hole total 72 (36 under par) to defeat Jeff Garrison and Shawn Gilliland by one shot. 1968 National Champion Bob Marcellino and Tom Gross teamed up to take 3rd place with a 33 under par 75.

23 August 2003 - Southport, IN - In the Amateur division, the team of Dave Hager and Bill Hammons captured the APA Best Ball Title with a 54 hole total 79 (29 under par). Andrew and Zach Smith tied for second with the team of John Watkins and Scott McCutchen.
