2003 Clayton Cup and Hancock Cup Teams
13 October 2003 - The defending Clayton
Cup team from the North Carolina State Tour brings back seven of the ten
players who claimed the Cup in Burlington, North Carolina in October 2002.
Co-captains are once again
Greg Newport and
Opie
Roberts. The three new members of the team for 2003 are
Tommy Barbour,
Bear Landin and Lance
Perdue.

The 2003 Virginia State Tour Clayton Cup team returns
seven players from the 2002 team that posted a disappointing fourth place.
Brad Lebo and
Vince Batten will
serve as co-captains for the team that includes the 2003 PPA Virginia
State Champion,
Gilbert
Sharpe, and the
2003 Elton
Davis Memorial Champion,
Daryl Freeman. Also
representing the Virginia Tour will be
Mike Brown, winner of
seven PPA State Tour events in 2003 including the PPA Great Lakes Tour
Medal Play Championship. The three new players on the team are
Jonathan Moore,
Jeff Spainhour and
Matt Summey.

Bill Garrett.
Dennis Biesma
of Roanoke, Virginia, winner of four PPA State Tour events
in 2003, will be one of the new members of the team for
2003. Joining Biesma and Garrett on the team for 2003 will be
Chuck Dibbs,
Chris Kern,
Malcolm
Shumaker and
Amy Smith.

2003 Clayton Cup and Hancock Cup Teams

The South Carolina State Tour returns to the Clayton
Cup matches with eight of the ten players who represented the tour at the
2002 Clayton
Cup matches in Burlington, North Carolina. Allen Wall and Frank Warren
are the two new members of the team for 2003. The South Carolina team
comes into the Clayton Cup matches, for the second time in the last three
years, with the current PPA National Champion.

2001 PPA National Champion, anchor a team that also features
Andy Coradini,
1993 PPA National Champion.

announced the Great Lakes Tour's Clayton Cup Team for the
2003 matches in Fredericksburg, Virginia on October 25th and 26th. The
2003 Great Lakes Tour Clayton Cup Team is lead by team co-captains,
Kevin
Lacey and Bill Baus,
and features Rod Miller,
2003
PPA National Invitational Champion, and
Paul Johns,
2003 PPA
Great Lakes Tour Champion.
