Tom
Gross picked up his second Medal Play victory on the Indiana Tour
this season winning the Hoosier Hysteria Classic by one stroke over
Shawn Gilliland of Indianapolis. Gross got off to
a great start firing a first round 10 under par 26 to tie
John Ventura and
Danny "Sumo" Holcomb for the lead. Gross then
posted the low round of the day, a 12 under par 24 to open up a 2
shot lead over John Ventura.
In round three Gross posted a 5 under par 31 to hang on to the
one shot victory with a 27 under par 81. Gilliland posted
consistent rounds of 28-27 and 27 to place
second at 26 under par 82. Ventura finished with a 31 and placed
third with a 25 under par 83. Danny Holcomb was fourth at 24 under
par 84.

Shawn
Gilliland picked up another Match Play Title in the Hoosier Hysteria
Classic defeating
Tom Gross in the 36 hole final. Gilliland shot a
first round 24 to open up a 4 hole lead on
Gross headed into the final 18 holes. His 7 under par 11 on the
course 2 front nine was enough to win 9 up. Gilliland advanced to
the finals with wins over Jerry Pinotti 2 and 1 and
Charlie
Greenwalt 4 and 3. Gross advanced to the final with wins over
Jeff
Garrison 4 and 3 and Jim Garrison 2 up.

Nate
"Hollywood" Nichols picked up 2 more victories on the Indiana
Professional Putters Tour by winning both the medal play and match
play events in the Hoosier Hysteria Classic at Columbus.
Nichols put
together rounds of 27, 30 and 28 for a 23 under par 85 and a three
shot victory over Mike McGreevy of Indianapolis.
Bill Hammons and
Scott McCutchen tied for third place each shooting 19 under par
89's.
Nate won his third Match Play Title of the season defeating
McGreevy 2 and 1 in the 36 hole finals. Nichols advanced to the
finals with a first round bye and a 3 and 2 victory over John
Watkins. McGreevy advanced to the finals with wins over Robbie
Brekelmans 2 and 1 and Bill Hammons 3 and 2.
