IN - The 36-hole Richmond Open is the
final event of the GLT regular season. Cleveland痴
Tom O達rien came to
Richmond having never won on the GLT and still looking for a second
qualifying spot. At the conclusion of play O達rien had accomplished both
objectives.

APA winner

Rick Alessi of Erie, PA led the event after round 1 with a 24,
one shot better than
Craig Williams,
Jim Engel and
Dave Nutini.
O達rien stood well back in the tightly bunched pack at 27. But his 24
the second round enabled him to pass all players except
Rod Miller
of Columbus, OH, who fired a 25 in round two to tie O達rien at 51.
O達rien won the resulting playoff to claim his first GLT title.
Qualifying spots were awarded to O達rien, Miller, Alessi and
John
Darst of Columbus.
In the APA division,
Don Ferrell of Bexley, OH edged out
Jeff
Brown by a single shot with a 36-hole score of 53. Qualifying spots
were awarded to
Zach Smith and Zach Rumery.
