Gilliland showed his experience on Course 3 at Southport shooting a
37 under par 108 to capture the 3rd event of the season. Gilliland's 3rd
round of 24 was just 3 strokes off the course record that was
established in the early 1970's. Tom Morrison and Jim Garrison were 8

play-off. Gilliland added fuel to the fire as he swept through the match
play competition defeating Mark Quigley in the 36 hole final 1 up.
Vicki Chinn Wins Big At Southport
Vicki Chinn
went to church and was late to practice for the Southport amateur stop
on the Indiana Pro Putters Tour. It was the right thing to do as she
swept the competition in both the stroke and match play events. Vicki
put together a 30 under par 114 to win the stroke play competition and
then won two matches to take home the match play title.
The next stop on the 2000 IPPA tour will be Lafayette
Course #2 on June 25th.
