Rich Gillooly Wins Hamilton, Ohio Event in Playoff Over Jim Heikkinen

Hamilton, OH - Four strokes back of Kevin Lacey after two-rounds at 54, 18-under, Rich Gillooly fired his third consecutive round of 27, 9-under par, on the Hamilton, OH course to finish the event at 81, 27-under par. Unlike the first two rounds when his rounds of 27 had last ground to Kevin Lacey, 24 and 26 for the first two rounds, and Jim Heikkinen, 30 and 23 for the first two rounds, Gillooly's final round of 27 placed him in a playoff with Jim Heikkinen for the win.

Lacey's final round of 34 relegated him to to tie for fourth place with Dave Nutini and Jim Engel at 84, 24-under par. Paul Johns finished third at 82, 26-under par, one stroke away from the playoff at 81. Rounding out the top ten were Mike McCormack at 85 in seventh and Tom Butler, Jim Cruse, and Scott Buddie all tied for eight place at 86.
