John Ventura Posts Three Stroke Victory on Great
Lakes Tour at Refugee Road Course
Columbus, OH - 25 July 1999 -
John Ventura, leading by two-strokes
entering the final round, posted a 25, 11-under par, for a three-stroke victory in the
Great Lakes Tour event at the Refugee Road Putt-Putt Golf Course in Columbus, Ohio.
Ventura's three round total of 82, 26-under par, gave him the victory over Mike McCormack
and Rod Miller who put on final round charges with rounds of 26 and 25 respectively to end
up tied for second. The win was John Ventura's second of 1999 on the Great Lakes Tour and
earned him the top prize of $205 for his victory. Ventura other win of 1999 was at the
Great Lakes Tour event in Middletown, Ohio when
Ventura posted a slim one-stroke victory over Rich Gillooly.
In the amateur division, John Kropinak also used a final round of 25,
11-under par, to post his victory. Kropinak's total of 84, 24-under par, was good enough
for a five stroke victory over Robb Titchell who finished in second at 89, 19-under par.
The Great Lakes Tour is next in action on July 31st and August 1st at the
Newark, Ohio Putt-Putt Golf Course. |
