Top Money Winner in PPPGA Circuit
HOUSTON, TEXAS
Ronnie Nixon, pro putter from
Columbus, Georgia, took top money in the worlds second national PPPGA tourney held
in Houston, Texas on June 4. Nixon breezed through the $2,000, 108 hole par 216 route with
a total score of 206, 10 under par. This first place money $1,000 combined with his
earnings of $350 won in the May 28 Dallas tournament totals $1,350, making him top money
winner in the summer national PPPGA circuit thus far.
Craig Snyder of Houston, Texas copped first place amateur standing with his aggregate
score of 219 to win the Houston Amateur trophy. The next national tourney will be held on
June 11 on the Putt Putt Golf Course, 2210 N. Causeway Boulevard, New Orleans, Louisiana
offering total prize money of $1,000.

Next stop for the touring pros of America in the newest "play for
pay" Professional sport will be Houston, Texas on June 4th for another
$2,000 tourney.

Orleans, LA (June 11th)
The next in the series of national PPPGA
tournaments will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana on the Putt Putt Golf Course, 2210 N.
Causeway Boulevard: Jack Champagne, managing pro.
This $1,000 tournament will be held on June 11 with qualifying rounds beginning
promptly at 1 P.M. Please note this new time for the beginning of actual play. All
pros must be registered prior to this time.
To insure direct processing, entries and fees may be sent directly to Bill Kitchens,
Tournament Director in care of the New Orleans golf course. All entries must be received
by Mr. Kitchens by noon, June 10th. Entries submitted after this time shall be
disqualified. If entries are submitted to the PPPGA Home Office, they must be received by
noon, June 9th. As above, all entries received after that time shall be
disqualified.
Entry fees for this $1,000 New Orleans tournament are $2.00. The Town and Country
Motel, 1425 Airline Highway is recommended for out-of-town pros in New Orleans.

Held In Birmingham, AL On June 18th
The fourth national PPPGA tournament will be held on the Putt
Putt Golf Course, 3300 Third Avenue, South, Birmingham, Alabama on June 18. The entry fees
for this $1,000 will be $2.
Bill Kitchens, Tournament Director, states, "We now have over 550 Putt Putt Pros,
all of whom acclaim the PPPGA to be a truly challenging and exciting sport of
Americans."
