Fritts Winner of
$2,000 PPPGA Dallas, TX Tournament
DALLAS, TEXAS - The Putt-Putt Professional Golfers Association reeled off
the first of its 14-city national tournament tour for the 1960 season in Dallas, Texas on
Saturday, May 28. First place money went to Earl Fritts, a Putt-Putt working pro from
Houston, Texas, who has been associated with Putt-Putt for 4 years. Fritts toured the
108-hole par 216 route with an aggregate of 200, 16 under par.

pay" Professional sport will be Houston, Texas on June 4th for another
$2,000 tourney.

The second national PPPGA tourney will be held on the Putt-Putt Golf Course, 3110 Old
Spanish Trail, Houston, Texas: Earl Fritts, managing pro.
This June 4th tournament is scheduled to begin at 3 P.M. All pros are urged
to be registered on Friday, June 3rd as early as possible in the day.
Entry fees for this $2,000 Houston tournament are $4.00. If entry fees are submitted to
the PPPGA Home Office, they must be received by 3 P.M., June 1st. If submitted
to Bill Kitchens, Tournament Director, they must be received by 3 P.M., June 3rd
at the Houston course.
Houston Accommodations
Recommended accommodations for visiting pros in Houston are the Tidelands Motel, the
Thunderbird Motel, and the Shamrock Hilton Hotel. All are within easy accessibility to the
Old Spanish Trail course.
Third Tourney...New Orleans, LA
On June 11, the $1,000 PPPGA tourney will be held on the Putt-Putt Golf
Course, 2210 N. Causeway Boulevard in New Orleans. Make plans now to play for pay on June
11th!
